Pakistan Welcomes Progress on Gaza Peace Plan

Islamabad (Special Correspondent), Aug. 1: Pakistan has welcomed the positive developments under the Board of Peace aimed at implementing the Gaza Peace Plan, expressing hope that the ongoing efforts will lead to the full implementation of all commitments under the agreement.

In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Saturday, Pakistan appreciated the mediation efforts of the United States, Egypt, Qatar and Türkiye, acknowledging their sustained role in advancing the peace process.

The Foreign Office said it expects the recent progress to contribute to the complete implementation of the Gaza Peace Plan and help create conditions for lasting peace and stability in the region.

Pakistan reiterated its longstanding support for the inalienable right of the Palestinian people to self-determination through a credible, time-bound political process in accordance with international law, international legitimacy and the relevant United Nations resolutions.

The statement emphasized that such a process should ultimately lead to the establishment of an independent, sovereign, contiguous and viable State of Palestine based on the pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
