Pakistan Saudi Arabia Türkiye Defence Pact Is Historic Milestone

ISLAMABAD (special crosspondent) – Federal Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety (PA&SS) Syed Imran Ahmed Shah on Sunday termed the historic joint defence agreement between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye a matter of pride for the entire nation and the Muslim Ummah, saying the coming together of the three brotherly Islamic countries in Makkah conveyed a powerful message of peace, unity and brotherhood to the world.
Strengthening Strategic Alliances
In a statement, the minister said the landmark agreement would further strengthen friendship, mutual cooperation and strategic ties among Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye. He stated that the historic development had been made possible through the leadership and concerted efforts of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.
Regional Security and Stability
Imran Shah said the agreement demonstrated the resolve of the three brotherly countries to stand by one another in times of difficulty. Under the pact, he noted, an attack on one country would be considered an attack on all three countries, a move which experts view as a significant shift in the regional security landscape. He added that the unity of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye would play an important role in promoting peace, security and stability in the region.

The federal minister described the agreement concluded in Makkah as a message of hope and a source of happiness for the Muslim Ummah, adding that the gathering of the three countries in the holy city had sent a clear message of unity and solidarity to the entire world. He extended his heartfelt congratulations to the leadership and people of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye on the historic achievement. Syed Imran Ahmed Shah expressed the hope and prayed that the bonds of love, unity, friendship, and cooperation among the three brotherly countries would continue to grow stronger in the years ahead.
