Iran, Russia Discuss Joint Industrial Value Chains and Export Opportunities

TEHRAN, August 9: Iran’s Deputy Industry Minister Mohammad Sadeq Mofatteh has called for deeper industrial cooperation with Russia, including the development of joint value chains and new opportunities for exports to regional and international markets.

According to the Iranian government, Mofatteh met Russia’s Deputy Minister of Economic Development in New Delhi and discussed moving beyond traditional trade towards joint industrial value chains, particularly in the context of BRICS and the Iran-Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) Free Trade Agreement.

Mofatteh proposed a joint roadmap for developing value chains aimed at promoting joint exports to BRICS, EAEU and regional markets.

He described the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Treaty between Iran and Russia as a strong platform for deepening industrial and commercial ties between the two countries.

The meeting also discussed prospects for expanding bilateral industrial cooperation, increasing trade and creating joint export opportunities in regional and international markets.
