Ishaq Dar, Kuwaiti Foreign Minister discuss Makkah Joint Defence Agreement, regional situation

ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar spoke by telephone with Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah late Sunday night.

According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, the Kuwaiti foreign minister congratulated Ishaq Dar on the recent signing of the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye.

The two foreign ministers exchanged views on the regional situation, including developments concerning Occupied East Jerusalem.

They also discussed Pakistan-Kuwait bilateral relations and matters of mutual interest, including follow-up to Foreign Minister Jarrah’s recent visit to Pakistan and ways to further enhance cooperation and investment in key sectors.

The two sides agreed to remain closely engaged and continue efforts to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
