ISLAMABAD (special crosspondent) – Pakistan on Monday issued a strong rejection regarding recent allegations leveled by India’s Home Minister, who sought to link Islamabad to specific arrests conducted within Indian territory. The Foreign Office dismissed these claims as entirely baseless, framing them as a calculated attempt by New Delhi to distract from its own escalating domestic security challenges.

India’s Malicious Campaign Alleged

Responding to persistent media queries concerning the rhetoric, Foreign Office Spokesperson Tahir Andrabi stated that these assertions serve as further evidence of what he categorized as a deliberate “malicious campaign” directed at Pakistan. “Such propaganda is yet another demonstration of India’s malicious campaign against Pakistan to divert attention from its domestic security challenges and to blame Pakistan for narrow domestic political gains,” Andrabi remarked during his briefing.

Concerns Over Regional Stability

The spokesperson further accused the Indian administration of systematically suppressing dissent and minority communities within its borders. He simultaneously alleged that New Delhi remains actively involved in sponsoring terrorist activities and destabilization efforts beyond its sovereign territory. These diplomatic tensions occur amidst broader regional dynamics, where nations like Pakistan to continue constructive role in regional defence, security with Turkiye, Saudi Arabia: PM continue to engage in strategic dialogues to ensure regional security.

Evidence and Diplomatic Stance

Andrabi maintained that these unfounded allegations cannot divert international scrutiny from Pakistan’s standing accusations against India, which include claims of state-sponsored terrorism, targeted assassinations, and deliberate attempts to undermine regional stability. He reiterated that Pakistan has consistently provided documentation and evidence to global forums regarding Indian-led subversion inside Pakistani borders. This firm stance on sovereignty aligns with the nation’s ongoing commitments to international discourse, such as when Pakistan Assumes Presidency of the United Nations Conference on Disarmament to advocate for global peace.

The Case of Kulbhushan Jadhav

Highlighting specific instances of alleged interference, the Foreign Office spokesperson cited the high-profile case of Kulbhushan Jadhav, a former Indian naval officer currently in Pakistani custody. Jadhav, who was convicted by a Pakistani military court, remains a central figure in Islamabad’s narrative regarding foreign espionage. “The convicted and serving Indian naval commander, Kulbhushan Jadhav, is undeniable proof of India’s direct involvement in subversion and terrorism in Pakistan,” Andrabi emphasized. Pakistan concluded its statement by urging the international community to disregard these allegations and instead hold New Delhi accountable for its alleged roles in regional insecurity.
