Ishaq Dar, UN SG Make Telephonic Call, Agree to Maintain Close Contact

ISLAMABAD, Aug 19: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar and United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres held a telephone conversation on Wednesday and exchanged views on matters of mutual interest.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two leaders discussed issues of mutual interest during the telephone call.

Ishaq Dar reiterated Pakistan’s strong support for the multilateral system and the central role of the United Nations.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister also appreciated Secretary-General Antonio Guterres for his leadership and efforts over the past years.

Both leaders agreed to maintain close contact and remain engaged on matters of mutual interest.
