Field Marshal Asim Munir, Mohsin Naqvi Depart for Iran to Support Regional Peace Efforts

RAWALPINDI, August 24, 2026: Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, along with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, departed for the Islamic Republic of Iran as part of Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to promote regional peace and stability.

During his visit, Field Marshal Asim Munir will focus on supporting diplomatic efforts aimed at achieving a peaceful, lasting and comprehensive resolution to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

The visit reflects Pakistan’s commitment to promoting dialogue, de-escalation and peaceful resolution of regional conflicts.
