ISLAMABAD, Dec 30 (APP): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister (DPM/FM), Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, on Tuesday, underscored the significance of the UN and multilateral institutions in achieving global peace, security, and economic development during a meeting with Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN in New York, Ambassador Asim Iftikhar, here at Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Ambassador Asim briefed the DPM/FM on the Pakistan Mission’s engagements in New York, particularly at the UNSC and other UN organs, a DPM’s Office news release said.
He also highlighted the Mission’s continued and sustained efforts to project Pakistan’s key foreign policy priorities at multilateral fora, including Jammu and Kashmir and the Palestinian cause.
