ISLAMABAD (special crosspondent) – Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts to promote regional and global stability are set to advance further as technical-level talks between the United States and Iran will take place in Bürgenstock, Switzerland, on June 21 under the framework of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Saturday, the discussions are being held as a follow-up to the landmark Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding signed earlier between the concerned parties to reduce tensions and promote diplomatic engagement.

The talks will bring together representatives from the United States and Iran, while Pakistan and Qatar will participate as mediators, reflecting the confidence both sides have placed in the two countries’ facilitation efforts.

The Foreign Office said Pakistan would continue to play its role as a mediator with the objective of advancing the understandings reached under the Islamabad MoU and helping both sides move toward constructive dialogue and practical confidence-building measures.
