LONDON (special crosspondent) – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar arrived in London on Monday, marking the commencement of his official four-day visit to the United Kingdom, scheduled from 24 to 28 August 2026. Upon his arrival at London Heathrow Airport, the Deputy Prime Minister was formally received by Tipu Usman, the High Commissioner of Pakistan to the United Kingdom.

Diplomatic Engagements and High-Level Meetings

During this official mission, the Deputy Prime Minister is slated to conduct a series of high-level diplomatic discussions. His schedule includes bilateral meetings with UK Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband and the FCDO Minister of State for Pakistan, Stephen Doughty. These sessions are expected to focus on strengthening the existing strategic partnership between Islamabad and London, alongside discussions on regional stability and international cooperation. Furthermore, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar meets IMO Chief in London to engage in substantive talks regarding regional maritime security, reflecting Pakistan’s commitment to global maritime governance and safety.

In addition to his government-to-government meetings, Senator Dar is scheduled to hold a meeting with Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, the Secretary-General of the Commonwealth.
