Ishaq Dar and Egyptian Minister Discuss Gaza Crisis and Stability

ISLAMABAD (special crosspondent) – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a significant telephone conversation with Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr Badr Abdelatty, during which the two leaders conducted a detailed review of the deteriorating situation in Palestine and reaffirmed the essential role of dialogue and diplomacy in maintaining regional peace and stability.

According to an official statement released by Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, both foreign ministers expressed profound concern regarding the rapidly worsening humanitarian and security crisis across Palestinian territories. The leaders strongly condemned the ongoing military operations conducted by Israel in Gaza and the occupied West Bank, citing the increasing intensity of violence perpetrated by Israeli settlers as well as repeated provocations and violations at the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound located in occupied East Jerusalem.

The diplomatic discussion underscored an urgent collective demand for an immediate cessation of hostilities. Both ministers highlighted the necessity for the unhindered delivery of critical humanitarian aid to the affected civilian populations and insisted upon full, unconditional respect for international law to mitigate the suffering of the Palestinian people. This dialogue reflects the broader Pakistan and Kuwait Discuss Strategic Cooperation Across Multiple Key Sectors initiatives aimed at regional stability, as Pakistan continues to seek robust alliances.

The conversation also included a comprehensive exchange of views regarding the proposal initiated by Jordan to convene a high-level meeting involving a coalition of Arab and Islamic nations. The primary objective of this proposed forum is to harmonize diplomatic efforts in substantive support of the Palestinian cause, ensuring a unified international response to the crisis.

Concluding the telephonic exchange, the two leaders evaluated the wider spectrum of security developments unfolding across the Middle East. Consistent with the urgency seen in Saudi Arabia Faces Mounting Pressure Amid Widening Middle East Tensions, the ministers underscored the vital need for immediate restraint, constructive dialogue, and proactive diplomacy to prevent further regional escalation and to safeguard the stability of the entire Middle Eastern architecture.
