Tribute Paid to Martyrs and National Heroes, Large Number of Community Members Attend Event
KUWAIT (Report by Mohammad Omar): The Embassy of Pakistan in Kuwait organized a grand and dignified ceremony to mark the first anniversary of “Marka-e-Haq,” drawing a large participation from prominent members of the Pakistani community. The event reflected the deep patriotism and attachment of overseas Pakistanis to their homeland while paying rich tribute to the unmatched sacrifices and professional excellence of Pakistan’s armed forces.

The proceedings were conducted by Community Welfare Attaché Hamza Tauqeer, while the ceremony formally commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran. Messages from President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif were read out on the occasion. In their messages, both leaders praised the courage, sacrifices, and outstanding services of Pakistan’s armed forces in safeguarding the country and said the nation would always remember the sacrifices of its martyrs and veterans.

Addressing the gathering, Ambassador of Pakistan to Kuwait Dr. Zafar Iqbal said that “Marka-e-Haq” represents a bright chapter in Pakistan’s history. He stated that during Marka-e-Haq, Pakistan’s armed forces demonstrated to the world that the Pakistani nation and its military possess the capability to confront every challenge with determination and courage. He said the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the defense of the motherland are the pride of the nation.
The ambassador further remarked that Pakistanis living abroad also carry a strong spirit of sacrifice and dedication for the defense and progress of their homeland. He expressed confidence that Pakistan would continue its journey towards development, stability, and peace in the future.
Two Pakistani students also delivered speeches highlighting the significance of Marka-e-Haq and expressing their patriotic sentiments. The ceremony concluded with a collective prayer for the peace, prosperity, stability, and progress of Pakistan.
