Prime Minister Shehbaz stated that Trump’s “dynamic and courageous leadership” was instrumental in preventing a wider conflict and welcomed recent supportive statements by US Vice President JD Vance, viewing them as a positive indicator for the future trajectory of bilateral relations. He also conveyed his gratitude for President Trump’s backing of increased economic cooperation between Pakistan and the United States. The prime minister asserted that a more robust engagement between Islamabad and Washington would herald a new phase of economic collaboration, joint counterterrorism efforts, and regional stability. He further commented that strengthened Pakistan-US ties would yield benefits for the populations of both nations and also contribute to enhanced peace and prosperity throughout the region.
