Saudi Arabia-Pakistan-Türkiye Defence Pact a Historic Milestone: Iftikhar Ali Malik

Lahore: Former President of the SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Iftikhar Ali Malik, has described the trilateral defence agreement between Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Türkiye as a historic development for the Muslim world, saying it will strengthen regional peace, stability, defence cooperation and unity among Islamic countries.

In a statement issued on Friday, he said the partnership would play a significant role in enhancing defence collaboration, intelligence sharing, counter-terrorism efforts and the development of indigenous defence capabilities. He added that the agreement would also create new opportunities for political, economic and technological cooperation among the three countries.

Iftikhar Ali Malik expressed hope that the agreement would serve as a model for other Islamic nations and send a strong message to the international community that the Muslim world stands united in promoting peace, collective security and resisting all forms of aggression.
