Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar Meets Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov

BISHKEK (special crosspondent) – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, alongside the foreign ministers of various SCO member states, called on the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Nurgozhoevich Zhaparov, at his state residence on Friday. This high-level diplomatic interaction comes amidst ongoing efforts by Pakistan to bolster regional engagement on the international stage.

Diplomatic Exchanges and Strategic Cooperation

During the meeting, Senator Dar conveyed the warm regards of President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif to the Kyrgyz leadership. The deputy prime minister expressed his sincere gratitude to President Zhaparov for the exceptional hospitality provided to the visiting delegations during the recently concluded SCO Council of Foreign Ministers’ Meeting.

Future Leadership and Regional Stability

Deputy Prime Minister Dar emphasized the critical necessity of sustained collaboration among SCO member states, particularly as Pakistan readies itself to assume the influential SCO Chairmanship for the 2026–27 term.
