US Accelerates Preparations for Possible New Strikes on Iran; Heavy Missiles and Bunker-Buster Bombs Loaded Aboard Aircraft Carrier in Arabian Sea

*WASHINGTON:* The United States has stepped up its military preparations for possible fresh strikes against Iran, with a major shipment of advanced weapons, including stand-off land-attack missiles and powerful bunker-buster bombs, being transferred aboard the US aircraft carrier USS George Washington in the Arabian Sea.

According to a special video report published by *The Wall Street Journal* on October 24, journalist Shelby Holliday visited the American aircraft carrier and witnessed the transfer and storage of substantial quantities of advanced military weapons.

The report shows stand-off land-attack missiles and bunker-buster bombs being brought aboard the carrier, highlighting Washington’s efforts to strengthen its military capabilities amid growing tensions with Tehran.

Among the weapons identified in the report was the GBU-31(V)4 bunker-buster bomb, a powerful munition designed to penetrate reinforced concrete and other hardened structures before detonating against underground or fortified targets.

US Navy Commander Brian Garcia briefed the journalist on the weapons and military preparations aboard the carrier. The report indicates that American forces are strengthening their operational readiness for a possible military confrontation with Iran.

The deployment of bunker-buster bombs has raised particular interest because of their potential use against heavily fortified underground military facilities. However, the report did not confirm that any specific Iranian nuclear facility has been designated as a target.

The latest military developments come amid escalating regional tensions, growing concerns over maritime security in the Strait of Hormuz, and warnings about potential Iranian retaliation against American personnel and military assets.

The movement of advanced weapons and the strengthening of US naval capabilities have raised a critical question: Is Washington preparing for a limited military operation against Iran, or is the region moving closer to another major military confrontation?

While the latest developments indicate heightened American military preparedness, *The Wall Street Journal* report does not confirm that President Donald Trump has approved a new attack on Iran or that a date for any military operation has been set.
