ISLAMABAD (special crosspondent) – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar and the Foreign Minister of Kuwait, Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, co-chaired delegation-level talks at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday. According to the Foreign Office, both sides conducted a comprehensive review of all facets of bilateral relations between Pakistan and Kuwait, while exploring avenues to strengthen cooperation in diverse sectors, including Pakistan and Kuwait Discuss Strategic Cooperation Across Multiple Key Sectors.

The discussions encompassed key areas such as trade, investment, energy, manpower, agriculture, information technology, health, mining and minerals, defence, and broader economic partnership. Both nations reached an agreement to further solidify institutional linkages and to make bilateral cooperation more effective and organized through the regular exchange of high-level visits. The parties reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining close coordination and cooperation on issues of mutual interest at various multilateral forums, reflecting the ongoing diplomatic engagements as highlighted in previous Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar Holds Strategic Talks With Kuwaiti Counterpart.

Strengthening Bilateral Ties and Regional Cooperation

The Kuwaiti Foreign Minister expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and generous hospitality extended to the Kuwaiti delegation by the government and people of Pakistan. He specifically paid tribute to Pakistan for its support during the COVID-19 pandemic. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to its long-standing fraternal ties with Kuwait, expressing a desire to further expand the mutually beneficial partnership across all sectors.

The two sides also engaged in a detailed exchange of views on regional and international issues of mutual interest, including the situation in the Middle East and Palestine.
